In 2016 I saw a golden eagle grab a bullsnake on the Dubray Ranch. A few weeks later the battle started to protect the water supply next to the ranch and I released a print to support the Nodapl movement and the Oceti Sakowin camp. And I feel very blessed that I got to return this year to the Cheyenne River Reservation and paint this image. Thank you to all who purchased the print and supported the cause against the black snake. Pilamayaye to Julie Garreau and the CRYP for inviting me and getting me this wall on Main St. Eagle Butte. Wopila to the amazingly supportive people of Eagle Butte and Eman and Daniel for the help. Shouts to @hydeslovelies for the help on the print.
