Sometime about twenty years ago, I was a nameless toy lucky enough to be hanging out with a few legends after a party at Hunt’s Point in the Bx. Frosty Freeze was there and dropped some knowledge on us about “culture vultures” and how they go about their business. I didn’t understand at the time what he was getting at. I sure do now, and thanks to the advice of my elders in the culture I haven’t let it affect my work or my love of the art. Here’s a belated thank you Frosty, Rest in power, your legacy runs much deeper than just the dancing.

I am maybe the world’s worst photographer. Now that most art is seen and judged by tiny pictures on a screen, it’s a disadvantage in my line of work. Thankfully I have good patient friends who help and support me with their skills! Here is maybe the only interesting photograph I managed to take of one of my pieces in 24 years of graffiti…
